On the 25th of February, the PFM Coordination Unit Facilitates an Experience Sharing Visit on Procurement to Tanzania for Members of Somaliland House of Representatives.
Somaliland is currently reforming its public procurement system as part of the Public Financial Management reform program (PFM) and, as suh, the PFM Reform Coordination Unit facilitated an experience sharing visit to Tanzania for Members of Somaliland House of Representativesincluding members of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). The Delegation was led by the Second Deputy of the House Hon. Dr. Ali Yusuf Ahmed.
The overall objective of the Tour was to receive experience and knowledge of the respective institutions in Tanzania, especially those related to regulations, oversight, control, audit, administration and adjudication of public procurement system in Tanzania.
During their stay, the delegation was received by various public institutions of the host country, including Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), Procurement and Supplies Professional Board, Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Auditor and Controller General, Public Procurement Appeals Authority, Chief Internal Auditor, and Government Procurement Services Agency (GPSA).
The meetings were organised by PPRA, especially the Senior Public Relations Officer Mr McharoMrutu, who accompanied and facilitated all meetings with relevant stakeholders during PAC’s official visit to Tanzania.
