On the 19th of October, the PFM Reform Program Unit hosted a meeting held between the Accountant General’s Office and PwC to assess progress on the Financial Management & Reporting Pillar of the PFM Reform Program.

Meeting with PwC and Accountant General’s Office

Technical staff from PwC and Accountant General’s Office attended the meeting to discuss ongoing work in Pillar 3 of the PFM Reform Program.

The main points of discussion were: –

  1. The progress of PwC’s work – PwC presented an overview of their on-going work with a description of the key deliverables and challenges
  2. Collaboration – The Accountant General’s Office and PwC discussed how they could better work together to ensure the greater efficiency and accountability of public expenditures in Somaliland

It was agreed that:

  1. PwC would produce all deliverable’s on time after consultation with the relevant GoSL staff
  2. Counterparts would work closely with PwC to ensure that reforms are successful and sustainable

Both sets of participants look forward to continuing their productive working relationship into the future.
